Overview
The Event Lighting HAVOCH330 is a 330W LED Moving Head Hybrid that combines power, precision, and versatility. Designed for both theatrical and live event environments, it delivers an impressive balance of output and control that rivals many of the big-name industry fixtures—at a fraction of the cost.

In a recent application for Altona City Theatre’s production of Urinetown, The Musical, I had the opportunity to use 10 of these units to stunning effect. The HAVOCH330s delivered exceptional results across a wide range of looks. With the versatility of the colour mixing and gobo selection, I was able to craft sharp, jagged textures in murky greens and dirty yellows, then seamlessly shift to soft pinks and purples with slow-rotating dot gobos. The animation wheel, often overlooked in fixtures at this level, proved to be a standout feature—its slow, rotating water ripple effect added a beautiful layer of movement and atmosphere across the stage deck.
Performance
From the first cue, the HAVOCH330 impresses with its brightness and beam quality. The fixture produces a solid, even field and handles colour transitions with confidence. The zoom range from 4° to 48° provides exceptional flexibility—offering everything from a razor-sharp spot to a soft, wide wash reminiscent of a Fresnel.

The fixtures cut through the haze with crisp texture and punchy colour, easily creating mood transitions from murky greens and dirty yellows to delicate pinks and purples. The ability to achieve subtle, slow-rotating effects with the dot gobos helped build atmosphere throughout the show.
Features
One of the standout attributes of the HAVOCH330 is the Theatrical Gobo Package, an optional upgrade that adds greater creative depth for theatre productions. The rotatable gobos are thoughtfully designed, allowing lighting designers to shift between organic patterns and precise textural effects seamlessly.
Another impressive inclusion is the animation wheel, which opens up additional visual possibilities. During Urinetown, a slow, rotating water ripple effect added a captivating layer of movement across the stage deck—a visual feature often reserved for much higher-priced fixtures.
The unit also includes all the professional essentials: smooth pan/tilt movement, motorised focus, variable frost, and a robust colour-mixing system that ensures adaptability across genres and venues.

Pros
• Excellent brightness and optical clarity
• Wide 4°–48° zoom range
• Theatrical Gobo Package adds true design versatility
• Smooth animation wheel for dynamic stage effects
• Compact, reliable, and easy to rig
Cons
• Slight shade shift in the cyan flag during transitions

Verdict
The Event Lighting HAVOCH330 is a powerful and versatile profile mover that holds its own against fixtures from top-tier brands. It’s bright, consistent, and loaded with useful features that make it ideal for theatre, concert, and corporate applications alike. For designers seeking an affordable fixture without sacrificing professional performance, the HAVOCH330 stands out as a genuine contender.
